Cinna's Story
Frontier Legends Cinna has proven to be a true legend in the show arena, and she has begun to show her potential as a superb brood jennet with the birth of her first foal in 2021, Farmstead's Cotton Top Mounts. Cinna has a sterling show record and has won more NMDA/ADMS National Championships than any donkey has ever won. She is as close to the breed standard for Mediterranean Miniature Donkeys as you can get. Out of 13 shows in which Cinna was shown from 2016 until 2022, she placed first in her class in 12 of those shows, and placed second in one show. Out of the 12 shows in which she placed first in her class, she was Grand Champion Jennet 10 times and Reserve Champion Jennet 2 times. In every show in which she was named Grand Champion Jennet and in which there was a Best of Breed named, she won that recognition every time--7 times. Her National Championships include the following: 2016 NMDA National Champion Jennet/Best of Breed; 2017 NMDA Reserve National Champion Jennet; 2019 ADMS National Champion Donkey; and 2022 NMDA National Champion Jennet/Best of Breed after having weaned her first foal two months prior to the show. Cinna's first foal, Farmstead's Cotton Top Mounts, was shown once as a foal and won his class. Cinna will be bred again in early summer of 2023 to our herd sire, Country Music's Rusty Weir, and we expect a cracker jack foal from this cross!
