Farmstead's Colonel Hardin
2025 Brown and White Spotted Jack

Farmstead's Colonel Hardin

Farmstead's Colonel Hardin was born on May 26, 2025. He is quite a wooly, handsome spot! His Mother is our top producing jennet, Country Music's Eli Barsi, who is a NMDA Reserve National Champion Jennet and multiple Grand Champion Jennet during her show career. Colonel is Eli's ninth foal, and all of her foals have been champions in the show arena. Colonel's Daddy is four-time ACOSA National Champion and multiple NMDA Champion Jack, WLDF Tin Roof Sunday, who has sired many show champions and breeding stock for us and for others around the country and the world. With a pedigree like this one, Colonel is destined to be a champion in the show arena as he gets older.

Farmstead's Homer Hickam
2025 Dark Red Jack

Farmstead's Homer Hickam is a beautiful dark red jack born on June 8, 2025. Homer's Mother, Farmstead's Hattie Hasseltine, is a frosted spotted white jennet that is producing beautiful red show donkeys for us. Her first foal has been a consistent winner in the show arena, being named the winner of the large two year old jennet class at the 2024 NMDA National Show in Springfield, MO. Hattie's second foal, Farmstead's Ray Hicks, a yearling gelding, has just begun to show and is doing quite well. Homer is Hattie's third foal and much is expected from him in the show arena in the future. Homer's Daddy is our handsome red jack, Country Music's Rusty Weir, an own son of the well-known Country Music's George Jones, now deceased. Rusty has sired many winners in the show arena, and Homer will definitely be taking home the awards as he begins to show in the years ahead.
