Eli's Story
Country Music's Eli Barsi is a beautiful 2005 dark brown jennet with light points and is the matron of the jennet herd at Appalachian Farmstead. She is by Country Music's Garth Brooks and out of Capstone Shadow Dancer. Eli was purchased from Country Music's Miniature Donkeys as a weanling and has an outstanding show record, as well as an outstanding record in producing foals that have done very well in the show arena.
Eli has won many NMDA championships over the years, including standing Grand Champion Jennet at the Tennessee State Fair and NMDA Reserve National Champion Jennet at Shelbyville, Tennessee. This latter recognition was especially notable, as she won the Five Years and Older Jennets class and Reserve Champion Jennet after producing three foals. All of Eli's seven foals have done extremely well in the show arena, winning Grand and Reserve Championships at the Great Celebration Mule and Donkey Show and the Tennessee State Fair over the years. Eli has been permanently retired from the show arena and is continuing to produce winning foals for Appalachian Farmstead.
