Popcorn's Story

Appalachian Farmstead's Popcorn Sutton

After thoughtful consideration, we have decided to identify an appropriate future setting for our designated Junior Herd Sire, Farmstead's Popcorn Sutton, bred and raised on our farm. Given our small breeding program and the fact that we own Popcorn's sire, it is appropriate for us to identify a farm that can better use the sire potential of this just-turned three year old sorrel jack. Popcorn has the breeding, pedigree, conformation, color, and disposition to make a wonderful herd sire for the appropriate farm. Shown five times, Popcorn has won three firsts, two seconds, two Junior Championships, and one Reserve Junior Championship, and has achieved ADMS Reserve National Champion Donkey. Popcorn's sire is our NMDA Reserve National Champion and multiple Grand Champion Jack, Country Music's Rusty Weir, by the renowned CM George Jones, and out of the well-known show and producing jennet, Frontier Legends Ruby Stone, NMDA and ADMS National Champion and multiple Grand Champion Jennet and whose sire was Short Assets Starfire. The future home for Popcorn will be one which recognizes the superior strengths of this jack as a herd sire.

Thanks, Randy and Gail, Canton, North Carolina, for your purchase of this top herdsire for your farm!
