Iris' Story

Appalachian Farmstead's Ruby Iris

Iris was bred to be the beauty that she is, with a mother who was an outstanding show jennet, as well as a proven producer of champion foals. Iris's mother was the phenomenal jennet, Frontier Legends Ruby Stone, who had numerous National Championships in the show arena and produced two National Champions herself-Frontier Legends Cinna and Farmstead's Popcorn Sutton. Iris's father is multi-halter champion Country Music's Rusty Weir, who stood as NMDA Reserve National Champion Jack as an 11-year old! Iris has already shown her show potential, winning NMDA National Champion Yearling Jennet in 2021, as well as Reserve Junior Champion at the 2022 Music City Show. Iris will be one of Appalachian Farmstead's brood Jennets in the future as she completes her show career.
